Section Three Introduction

In Section Two, we learned more about the concept of “detoxification” (or “biotransformation”), why it is an important topic, how the toxins are affecting us all, how we can make changes today that will affect our health and wellness, and provide of list of hidden dangerous chemicals to dispose of in your home.

And now it is time for us to officially introduce your EPIC Five Plan Metabolic Detoxification Diet. 

This diet is designed to substantially support the Metabolic Detoxification process, to “cleanse” and strengthen the health and functionality of liver and digestive system, and allow your body to function at its fullest.

As opposed to other more fad diets, this diet, or “way of eating”, is designed to be followed daily on an ongoing basis.

We also recommend that you return to this basic dietary program for the full months of January, April, July, and October (one full month quarterly). We recommend repeating all of Section One (remembering and re-evaluating your Big Why, cleansing the house, work, and general environment, etc.).

In this longer section, we will revisit some key preparation points to help you get the most out of this Metabolic Detoxification Plan, learn about the EPIC Food Pyramid and its sub components, outline shopping considerations and an EPIC Shopping List, learn about lectins, how to avoid them, and how to prepare food to lower the lectin-count, learn a few Nutrition Label shortcuts, and end with a real-world grocery store assignment.

This Section is dense in information, like your food should be dense in nutrients ;)
