Life After “Detox” - Days 22 And Beyond

Congratulations, AGAIN!! Now that you have reached this point, you have accomplished some major victories in regaining your health and vitality. By completing this Plan, you may not realize it, but you have:

  • Eliminated most common food sensitivities that may up-regulate the neuroendocrine-immune axis and lead to disease;
  • Detoxified your system of some accumulated toxins, heavy metals, metabolic debris, sludge & waste products;
  • Established a more functional environment for body systems;
  • Cleared pathways for better digestion, filtration, elimination, & receptor activity;
  • Prepared your body for better metabolism, weight management, & nutritional utilization.

Now you may be able to begin to add foods back into the diet one at a time (with your provider’s approval).

For the next month (and ongoing if you find this is a useful tool that works for you), keep a dietary journal (using the included Diet/Detox Log in the Resources section of this module) of what you eat including meals, snacks, and beverages.

By keeping this log, you can ensure you are getting what your body needs. If you are an EPIC private client: Bring the logs in for health coach review at each visit. Also record how you feel with the food that was eaten.

And while it is very important to “feed” your body good, real, whole foods on a consistent basis, we want to make sure not to overfeed your new, detoxed body. Your body needs the appropriate caloric intake on a daily basis for your metabolism to work to optimum levels. You should now know that weight loss is not as simple as calories in-calories out. Many patients actually are under-nourished, even though they are often over-fed.

And remember to listen to your signals - and stay hydrated.

Remember, you now have a daily nutritional program and a care-plan to provide your body with optimum nutrition, function, repair, recovery and wellness. This is now part of your lifestyle forever.

Eat according to the plan laid out for you.

Drink plenty of fresh water.

Include nutritionally rich foods.

Love and care for your body and it will respond much more the way you want.

You have already come a long way and laid the foundation for the new YOU. Great job! Let’s keep your progress going full steam ahead.
